frequently asked questions
After signing up, artists launch a swap that gives fans early access to new music or exclusive content. Fans unlock it by sharing contact details or opting into pre-saves, based on the artist’s setup. All of this happens inside a channel the artist owns, providing full fan data and the freedom to grow their audience anywhere.
Selling your music on Tribly is completely optional. If you decide to offer your music for sale, here’s how it works:
Opt-in and Ownership
You must explicitly opt-in to sell music when creating your campaign.
You confirm by checking a box that you either fully own the master recording or have obtained all necessary permissions from rights holders to monetize and sell the music through Tribly.
Fans purchase your music on Tribly the same way they would on platforms like iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon. They receive a digital download of your music (MP3 or WAV file). No ownership rights are transferred—fans simply buy a copy for personal listening.
Payments and Pricing
You set a minimum price for your music, but fans can choose to pay more if they wish to support you further.
Payments are collected securely via Stripe and sent directly to your connected bank account or debit card every two business days.
Tribly currently operates on an 85/15 revenue split (85% to the artist, 15% to Tribly). Payment processing fees (~3%) are covered by Tribly’s share.
Flat fees deducted from the artist’s share:
Stripe Transaction Fee: $0.30 per transaction.
Payout Fee: $0.25 per payout.
Upcoming Changes (Important)
Soon, artists on Tribly’s free plan will shift to a 70/30 revenue split, while artists on the Pro plan will remain at the 85/15 split.
Free plan artists will incur a $2 Stripe account fee on their first payout each month, which Tribly Pro plan artists will have waived.
Tribly will introduce a sales portal allowing artists to accumulate funds and manually trigger withdrawals, reducing the impact of payout fees.
Security and Protections
Tribly ensures the integrity and security of your music files, controlling access strictly to paying fans.
Tribly maintains accurate records of sales and transactions.
By agreeing to Tribly’s Artist Agreement, you indemnify Tribly against claims related to fraud, copyright infringement, or unauthorized sales.

What are Forever Pre-Saves?
Forever Pre-Saves allow fans to subscribe once and automatically pre-save all your future releases. This feature simplifies the pre-save process for your fans while ensuring your music reaches them as soon as it’s available.
How do Forever Pre-Save fans get my new music?
Once enabled, you will find the ability to activate the Forever Pre-Save on any individual Pre-Save you create or edit. This will both set your Pre-Save to deliver to your Future Save fans when it converts as well as collect new Forever Pre-Saves after a fan completes a Pre-Save.
Note:
To ensure Forever Pre-Saves are delivered to your fans, you must create your pre-Save within Tribly. This is required because the delivery happens at the smartlink level—not at the DSP level. Without this step, your Future Save fans will not receive your music.
A Future Save Swap lets fans opt in once to automatically pre-save all your upcoming releases. It’s an evergreen link that never expires, with content you can update anytime. Every new pre-save swap you create automatically inherits those stored opt-ins. This means your day-one streaming numbers grow faster, you never have to repeatedly ask fans for pre-saves, and your audience is effortlessly primed for all your future releases.
Meta Pixel integration allows you to easily track and retarget fans who interact with your swaps. Simply add your Meta Pixel ID to your Tribly account, and we’ll automatically embed the pixel on each swap page. When fans visit your swaps, Meta Pixel captures their interactions, enabling you to retarget these engaged fans later through Facebook and Instagram ads. You can also leverage this data to build highly effective lookalike audiences, helping you reach new listeners who closely resemble your existing fanbase. This helps you maximize every fan interaction, reconnect with your audience across other platforms, and lower your overall advertising costs.
When you launch a contact swap, you’ll set either an expiration date or a maximum number of unlocks. Once your swap hits either limit, your swap page automatically converts into an RSVP page. Fans who missed the swap can submit their info here to RSVP for future access. These fans immediately join your channel but don’t get instant access to your current swap. Instead, they’re notified directly whenever you launch new swaps or updates, ensuring they’re first in line next time. You can collect unlimited RSVPs, and all fan contact data is stored securely in your channel.
Once a swap is unlocked, fans stream the content inside your channel, comment, and connect directly with you and the community. They can also share the swap link, fueling word-of-mouth growth and bringing new listeners into your ecosystem.
If it’s a time-limited swap, it will expire and then be archived. Fans who unlock it before the deadline keep the content in their collection forever. Anyone who arrives after the window closes can’t access that swap, creating urgency and rewarding early engagement.
You own every fan contact and can export it whenever you like. Each time you launch a new swap, your channel emails fans instantly, giving you guaranteed reach for every release, merch launch, or tour update.
